AvCon 2025, hosted by the Irish Air Corps in partnership with TYHub.ie, has officially become Ireland’s largest aviation and aerospace careers event, drawing over 8,000 students and teachers in person, with thousands more tuning in via TYHub Live from across Ireland, Northern Ireland, the UK, and Europe.
Held in the iconic Hangar 4 at Casement Aerodrome, the event offered students a hands-on, immersive experience into the world of aviation, aerospace, space technology, logistics, and engineering. The day began with a video address from An Taoiseach Micheál Martin, followed by a welcome from Brigadier General Rory O’Connor, General Officer Commanding the Irish Air Corps.

The six-hour live broadcast, hosted by Ally Garvey and Paul Butler Lennox, featured over 50 national and international speakers and exhibitors, including industry leaders from Aer Lingus, Kuehne + Nagel, AFTA, National Flight Centre, Pilot Path Group, and the Leinster Gliding Centre. Attendees engaged with aircraft displays, simulators, and interactive demonstrations, gaining insights into career paths and emerging technologies.
AvCon 2025 also welcomed participants from across Europe, reinforcing its status as a growing international hub for youth engagement in aviation and STEM. The event brought together over 100 representatives from industry, education, and government, highlighting its role in shaping Ireland’s future aviation and aerospace workforce.

Teachers and students praised the event for its educational value and inspirational impact. Fiona Forkan, Founder of AvCon and TYHub.ie, described the event as “a movement that connects education, innovation, and opportunity,” emphasising the enthusiasm and potential of Ireland’s next generation of aviation professionals.
