Limerick played host to a remarkable evening of connection, collaboration, and inspiration as the Women in Aviation – Ireland Chapter welcomed more than 40 women from across the aviation sector to a dedicated networking event. The event was proudly sponsored by Aero Inspection, a leading provider of aircraft technical services, whose support helped create a platform for women aviation professionals to share experiences, build relationships, and explore new opportunities.
Attendees represented a broad cross-section of the aviation industry: airline pilots, engineers, air traffic controllers, leasing professionals, and students all came together with a shared passion for aviation. In attendance was Caitriona Pearl, a recent recipient of a scholarship through Women in Aviation.
For many, the event offered a rare chance to connect across disciplines in a supportive and informal setting. Conversations ranged from career development and training pathways to the challenges and opportunities facing women in today’s aviation industry.
The evening opened with words of welcome from chapter vice-president Erin Gormley, who highlighted the importance of networking in building confidence, fostering mentorship, and creating opportunities for collaboration. She encouraged attendees to join the Ireland Chapter and stressed the advantages of access to scholarships and a mentoring programme.
