Belfast International Airports Rescue and Firefighting service (RFFS) were shortlisted as finalists for Blue Light Service of the Year at the inaugural Northern Ireland Blue Light Awards. Chief Fire Officer Mark Bothwell also won the award for Most Influential Blue Light Man. The judges recognised Mark’s leadership, commitment to innovation, as well as strengthening collaboration across the blue light community. Mark’s impact is far-reaching and deeply valued.

For our entire RFFS team to be finalists in the Service of the year category is a well-deserved recognition of their professionalism and commitment to emergency response, fire prevention and protection and airside safety for staff and passengers alike.”
