The Northern Ireland International Airshow will take place at Portrush, Co. Antrim on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September this year. As part of this year’s lineup, the RAF has announced that the Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) will attend. The Royal Air Force Typhoon Team will also display this year.
The Red Arrows will not be displaying at Portrush this year as they’ll be taking part in Maple Hawk 2024, a promotional tour to Canada to help mark the Royal Canadian Air Force’s centennial. A five-week tour will include a series of Canadian airshows in late August and September.
The Red Arrows mark a significant milestone in 2024 as they celebrate their 60th anniversary. Formed in 1964 as an amalgamation of existing display teams, the Red Arrows have since become synonymous with precision, skill, and breathtaking aerial manoeuvres.
