Join The Adventures of Captain Paddy T Bear and Lucky for a pawtastic evening celebrating “Women in Aviation”, in aid of LauraLynn Children’s Hospice and Dogs Trust Ireland on Thursday 31st of August 2023.
The intrepid VIP Bears are hosting an exciting event focused on the theme of “Women in Aviation” alongside Aviation Podcaster and Coach Michael Comyn. Speakers include Jim Gavin, former manager of the Senior Dublin County team and current Director of People and Operations at the Irish Aviation Authority and Laura Russell who is amongst many things, a First Officer at Aer Lingus and also a successful aerobatic pilot who is currently preparing to compete at the World Aerobatics Championships in Las Vegas at the end of October.
Other speakers include Lorraine Gibney who is Cabin Operations Inspector with the Irish Aviation Authority responsible for the regulatory oversight of cabin operations, cabin safety & cabin crew training and last but not least Jason Phelan who is a Flight Operations Administration Supervisor at the Irish Authority and also the carer for Capt Paddy and Lucky and who generously co-ordinates all their adventures and social engagements even though he doesn’t always get to go along with them!
The event is sponsored by The Runway 28 Beverage Company and The Runway 28 Rooftop Terrace & Bar and The Carlton Hotel and the event will take place at The Runway 28 Rooftop Terrace and Bar at the Carlton Hotel in Dublin Airport.
Doors open at 7 pm and the event begins at 7.30 pm. There will be finger food provided by the Carlton Hotel. The event will finish at 10 pm but the bar will remain open after that for selfies with the bears who have been granted a once-off later bedtime by Jason for this special event.
