Hainan Airlines will recommence the Dublin and Beijing route from 27th June until early October. The airline previously operated a direct service from China to Dublin from 2018 until late 2019 and was expected to return in 2020 but this was cancelled due to the pandemic. The service will be operated on Tuesdays and Saturdays by an Airbus A330-300 aircraft fitted with 32 flatbed seats in Business Class and 260 seats in Economy seats. Hainan operates 11 existing routes between China and Western Europe.
Vincent Harrison, Chief Commercial and Development Officer at Dublin Airport said: “The news that direct flights are re-starting between Dublin Airport and China is great news for our passengers. The service was very popular with passengers last time around and we’re delighted to see it returning for the summer months.”
