Following the separation of the Irish Aviation Authority Regulator and the Air Navigation Service Provider – now known as AirNav Ireland – several services available to pilots have moved from the IAA website. As the provider of Air Navigation Services in Ireland, AirNav now hosts the portal to file flight plans. If you had an account on the IAA website, you need to re-register for the service on the AirNav Ireland website. Once logged in you can file, cancel, change and delay a flight plan. Finally, the Integrated Aeronautical Information Publication (IAIP) has moved to the AirNav website. The IAIP includes the AIP itself, AIP Supplements, Aeronautical Information Circulars and AIRAC Amendments. Access to this is via the Aeronautical Information Management section of the website here.
Launched on 1st May 2023, AirNav Ireland employs 610 staff who have transferred from the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA), following the legislation to separate air traffic management and air safety regulation. Mr Peter Kearney, AirNav Ireland’s Chief Executive, said the company will focus on meeting the increased demand for air traffic management in Ireland, the North Atlantic and throughout the globe.
