FunFly Aerosports Flying Club based at Clonbullogue recently welcomed RTÉ presenter Evelyn O’Rourke to their base in Co. Offaly to talk about the club and their unique approach to affordable flying. A number of club members were interviewed which was broadcast on the “Today with Claire Byrne” show on RTÉ Radio 1 on Thursday.
FunFly was established to offer affordable access to flight training in the local area. They have a fleet of four ICP Savannah S aircraft and eight instructors. They operate 7 days a week, weather permitting and offer the EASA LAPL and PPL licences. About half of the members are students while the other half are already qualified pilots who can rent the aircraft using the clubs’ online booking system.
