The Birr Air Display 2019 took place on the Monday of the August Bank Holiday weekend. This event has grown from one act to having international display teams and the best on the Irish Aviation scene. Huge crowds gathered at the Midlands airfield to be thrilled by the skills of the likes of Richard Goodwin in his Pitts Special, The Ravens aerobatic team, Eddie Goggins in his CAP232, The Irish Historical Flight Foundation with their Stearman and Chipmunks. From overseas there was the P-51 Mustang and the BAC Strikemaster along with the Aero Super Batics Wingwalkers in their pair of Stearman’s. The Irish Air Corps also visited with an EC-135.
