Air Ambulance Northern Ireland is marking an important milestone with the celebration of nine years of lifesaving service. Since launching operations in 2017, the charity and its highly skilled medical crews have provided rapid critical care to people across Northern Ireland, delivering hospital-level treatment at the scene of serious incidents when every minute counts. During that time, the medical team has been tasked to 5,731 emergencies, highlighting the vital role the service plays in the region’s emergency response network and the difference it makes to patients and their families every day.
This anniversary video reflects on the remarkable achievements of the organisation, while recognising the dedication of the pilots, paramedics, doctors, support staff, volunteers and donors who make the service possible.
