Aer Lingus Regional, exclusively operated by Emerald Airlines and the largest operator at Belfast City Airport, has announced a significant expansion of its Belfast City-Southampton schedule for Summer 2026. The expansion will add more than 17,000 seats, meeting the growing demand for cruise-linked travel from one of the UK’s busiest cruise ports. The new Saturday mid‑morning departure (10:55) from Belfast City Airport, along with an early‑afternoon departure (13:05) from Southampton Airport, is conveniently timed to connect with cruise boarding and disembarking times
Commenting on the expansion of the Belfast City-Southampton route, the Head of Commercial at Emerald Airlines, Ian Lough, said: “We are delighted to offer even more choice, flexibility and conveniently-timed flights for passengers travelling between Belfast City Airport and Southampton. These additional seats and improved timings will offer passengers even more choice this upcoming Summer season.”
