Bray Airshow Airspace Restrictions – Saturday 2nd August

The IAA has published the details of the airspace restrictions that will be in place for the Bray Airshow that takes place next Saturday, 2^nd August. The details are as follows:

The Purpose of the TRA:

The purpose of the TRA is to ensure the safety of aircraft operating at the Bray Airshow, and of other aircraft operating in the vicinity of Bray in the periods cited.

Airspace Classification & Communication Service:

The airspace contained within the TRA shall be classified as ICAO Class G. Unless otherwise advised by the Flying Display Director, aircraft operating at the air show shall use- Air/Ground Frequency 119.600MHz, and act in accordance with information provided by the Flying Display Director.

Flight Restrictions & Exemptions:

a. Flights Permitted in the TRA.

1. State aircraft (including State Unmanned Aircraft Systems), aircraft of the Irish Coastguard Service, Aircraft Operators employed on an operational HEMS mission, shall be exempt from the restriction.
2. Flights by aircraft, including Unmanned Aircraft Systems, authorised by the Flying Display Director.
3. Rockets, with specific written permission from the Authority and the Flying Display Director.

b. Flights not permitted.

1. Flights by all other aircraft, including Unmanned Aircraft Systems, and rockets, are not permitted.
2. Any exemptions, alleviations or permissions, other than those listed at ‘a. Flights Permitted in the TRA’ granted to aircraft, including Unmanned Aircraft Systems, and rockets, by the Authority, are not valid within the TRA during the periods cited.
3. Any aircraft, including Unmanned Aircraft Systems, directed by the Authority not to enter the TRA, including aircraft already authorised as a permitted flight by the Flying Display Director as per a.ii.
