The UK CAA has published details of a Restricted Area (Temporary) – RA(T) – to facilitate a flying display on Friday 18th July to coincide with The Open that takes place at the Royal Portrush Golf Club. The display starts at 21:15 with the Calidus Autogyro as the warm up act. This will be followed by the Airborne Pyrotechnics Display Team as they light up West Bay. Flying Grob 109 gliders equipped with pyrotechnics, the pilots combine precise aerobatics with dazzling bursts of light resulting in a stunning, unforgettable sky show.
The airspace restrictions will be in place between 2000z hours and 2100z hours on 18th July 2025. No aircraft is to fly below 4000 FT AMSL within the area of a circle having a radius of 2 NM whose centre is at 551219N 0063940W. (see map below).
