Shannon Technical Services Acquires Part 21 Design International

Shannon Technical Services (STS) has announced the completion of the 100% purchase of Malta-based Part 21 Design International. This significant and strategic acquisition will enhance and complement the core services STS already provide. STS was founded in February 2019 and specialises in commercial aircraft redeliveries, transitions and inspections. The company employ a team of 65 people at their Shannon office. Ben Whelan, the current STS CEO, will assume the role of CEO of both companies.

Ambitious growth plans for Part 21 include expanding operations in both Malta and Shannon. They plan to add an additional 15-20 positions in the first year and 20-25 positions in the second year. They see significant market opportunities for STS and Part 21 especially given the current competitor landscape.

STS are investing up to €100,000 in graphics equipment currently being set up in Malta and will be establishing a Production Organisation Approval (POA) in Shannon and/or Malta.
