@airkarp .@Bristow_Group says ‘smooth’ test flight of Beta’s Alia electric aircraft provides confidence for future commercial services.

@winglets747 All Nippon Airways will start domestic 787-10 operations next February. The domestic version will have 429 seats (28 premium and 401 economy) and become Japan’s highest-capacity aircraft once ANA retires its domestic 777s. JAL’s highest density domestic A350 has 391 seats.

@winglets747 Lack of non-stop flights between India and New Zealand will be one of many discussion points during upcoming NZ-India trade talks. Qantas’ recent Australia-India flights were largely possible through Australian financial support.

@winglets747 Note Qantas’ additions are to North America, South Africa, and Bali. But not Europe, which Qatar Airways wanted to serve via Doha but Australia rejected Qatar’s request for more Australian flights.

@winglets747 Qantas will start retiring its remaining A380s from around 2032. They will be replaced by A350s, Group CEO Alan Joyce says. That will make the A380s around 24 years old at retirement, but with a shorter service life due to their long storage period during Covid.
