Pilot.ie has become the first and only official reseller for Rogers Data products in Ireland. The partnership between the two companies means that for the first time pilots in Ireland can now buy Rogers Data products directly from an Irish website meaning savings on shipping costs and a quicker delivery time than buying through a UK or European website.
Rogers Data produce their own range of high quality flight planning and navigation equipment such as Protractor Triangles and Navigation Compasses that meet the requirements for use in EASA / ICAO written examinations and are designed by or in collaboration with professional pilots. They are probably best known for their Aeronautical charts providing VFR ICAO aeronautical charts for the whole of Europe. The charts are updated annually with a new edition released in March each year and all charts feature a detailed representation of their respective airspace. The charts are suitable for pilots in general aviation, aviation companies and training organisations and can also be used for Microsoft Flight Simulator Training (FSX) to make flights in the simulator even more realistic.
The basic information for the charts is obtained from the AIPs (Aeronautical Information Publication) of the national states and supplements of CAA in addition to their own research. They are based on the relevant regulations of ICAO Annex 4 and EU-Regulations. Special emphasis is placed on the topographic background map with shading and relief, which gives a dynamic 3D impression. In addition to this, the concept of a consistent map image and uniform chart layout is kept in focus. All aviation charts are designed by or in collaboration with professional pilots, their motto is “From pilots for pilots”.
All Rogers Data VFR aviation charts feature the unique RDtech® lamination coating technology. With this technology, all charts are tear resistant and can be folded as many times as needed. The special lamination minimizes solar reflection, mirroring and has been tested at temperatures between -20°C and +80°C. The Rogers Data charts can be written on with an optimized permanent RDtech® pen set. The marked flight paths and markings can be removed afterwards with an RDtech® spray or RDtech® cleaning wipes without leaving any residue.
