EL AL Starts Flights to Dublin
The Israeli airline, El Al, has started a new three times weekly service between Tel Aviv and Dublin. The airline had originally announced the route back in 2019 with a planned May 2020 start date but the pandemic put a hold on those plans. Following the positive return of the aviation business over the last year, the route was announced again last November. The official start date was the 23rd of March, however, in recent weeks the airline has operated a number of ad-hoc services on the route. El Al will operate the route using a Boeing 737-800 with 16 Business and 150 Economy seats. The flight between Tel Aviv and Dublin takes approximately six hours and has an early evening arrival time in Dublin. The evening departure time from Dublin will allow for an early morning arrival in Tel Aviv.
Commenting at the launch of the new service, the Managing Director of Dublin Airport, Vincent Harrison said, “The addition of this direct route opens up a new sun destination for Irish travellers and is likely to prove popular too with those seeking to make a pilgrimage journey to the Holy Land. The route will also come as good news to the ever-growing number of Israeli businesses that are present in Ireland.”
