@ByERussellAir France-KLM identifies growth opportunities for Transavia in France’s second tier cities — Lyon, Marseille, and Toulouse for example — as its budget arm outperforms its network airlines.

@LuxuryTravelled Iceland works for the ULCC ‘Atlantic Bridge’ because there is room for a value competitor against a more premium brand. There is an O&D market for leisure.  Belfast doesn’t, or the infrastructure. Dublin has US preclearance & a value operator. Hard to see it.  @FlyAtlantic_Air.

@ManusCranny Saudi Arabia plans to build one of the world’s largest airports in Riyadh, covering an area of about 57 square kilometres with six parallel runways.

@sandeeprrao1991 Bengaluru overtakes Cochin in International passenger traffic for OCT’22. BLR reaches pre-pandemic levels (except Intl traffic) in OCT’22 & remains the 3rd busiest cargo airport in India #Aviation #BLR #COK #MAA #HYD.

@winglets747 Air Lease CEO John Plueger at Wings Club: an airline asked to take all 7 of the A350Fs they have on order. Plueger likes the A350F will meet ICAO’s 2027 regulations and isn’t a huge (metaphorical) stretch from other A350 variants. (Not necessarily a comment about 778F.)

@SecretaryPete Yesterday was the busiest travel day of Thanksgiving air travel, and the system did well.  Sunday’s weather led to an elevated but not extreme level of delays (5.3%) & overall cancellation rates held below 1.0%.  Thanks again to America’s aviation workers for all that you do.
