The Defence Forces are now accepting applications for General Service in the Air Corps. The Defence Forces require men and women from all backgrounds that possess a strong sense of duty, enjoy working as part of a team, and are looking for a rewarding yet challenging career. Air Corps applicants must be at least 18 years old and under the age of 25 years of age on the closing date for applications which is 31st December 2022. The role of the Air Corps under the Defence Act is to contribute to the security of the State by providing for the Military Air Defence of its airspace. However, in times of peace, it is more usual for the Air Corps to fulfil the roles assigned by the Government through the deployment of a well-motivated and effective Air Corps.
