Elix Aviation Delivers One ATR 72 to Afrijet
The international regional aircraft leasing company based in Dublin, Elix Aviation, has announced the delivery of one new ATR 72-600, TR-ABW, (c/n 1646), under a sale and leaseback transaction with Afrijet. With this new delivery, Elix Aviation continues to grow its ATR portfolio and increase its leasing and asset management services in the African market.
Gabonese airline Afriijet was established in 2005 as a charter carrier. Afrijet has developed a regional scheduled network since October 2016. IOSA certified for a second consecutive time in June 2022, Afrijet employs 250 people in Gabon, Congo, Cameroon, Chad, Equatorial Guinea and Benin. Operating until then a fleet of 6 turboprops from the European manufacturer ATR, the airline is taking delivery of its first new ATR with the finance support of Elix Aviation, the first of a series of new aircraft. Afrijet attaches great importance to the values of safety, reliability and punctuality, which have made its trademark in the world of African air transport for over 17 years.
