@ByERussell Analysts worry that JetBlue is becoming a farm team for pilots headed to the Big 3 rather than being a long-term career for aviators.

@ByERussell Avianca has officially delisted from U.S. stock markets. Trading was suspended after it exited Chapter 11 in December.

@ByERussell Finnair is benefitting from flow traffic from India — it serves Delhi, and will add Mumbai in August — which is supporting its expansion across the North Atlantic, says Manner. Finnair begins Seattle flights in June, and added DFW in March.

@ByERussell Finnair will wet lease 3 A350s to Lufthansa, and 4 A321s to British Airways this summer due to the flying reductions associated with the closure of Russian airspace, says Manner. The airline has also sold 4 A321s, and is exploring additional aircraft sales to shrink its fleet.

@ByERussell U.S. domestic airfares were up roughly 3% the week of April 11 compared to 2019. Many see the period, which includes spring break, as a proxy of what to expect this summer.
