The Irish Air Corps have resprayed the first Pilatus PC-12 in a special colour scheme to celebrate the Centenary of the Irish Air Corps. The new “Heritage Scheme” – a partial application of an Emergency (World War II) era camouflage pattern with appropriate National identifier markings of the period – namely the two-colour Celtic “Boss” and underwing stripes. The PC-12 ‘280’ was delivered to the Irish Air Corps on 2nd April 2020 at short notice following the pandemic’s start and the urgent need for additional capability. The aircraft was repainted at Biggin Hill in the UK over the past couple of weeks and arrived back in Baldonnel on Monday 14th March.
