New Appointments at Nordic
Nordic Aviation Capital has announced three new additions to its Senior Leadership Team with the appointment of Ed Sheard as Executive Vice President & General Counsel, Clem McCloskey as Managing Director and Head of Europe / CIS Marketing and Aashish Sonawala as Managing Director and Head of APAC / MEA Marketing.
Ed Sheard joins Nordic with over 20 years of experience in aircraft leasing and finance, including 14 years at GECAS, with postings in Brazil, UAE and Ireland. His last position at GECAS was Senior Vice President & Associate General Counsel with functional responsibility for both the Europe, Canada and Latin America / Caribbean Regions. Ed will be responsible for consolidating and leading the newly centralized legal department at Nordic.
Clem McCloskey joins Nordic with over 33 years of global experience in the aircraft leasing sector with GPA and GECAS. During his career, he has worked airline accounts in Europe / CIS, the Americas and most recently he was GECAS Senior Vice President and North Asia Regional Manager located in Hong Kong. Clem will manage Nordic’s marketing team and activities across the new Europe / CIS Region.
Aashish Sonawala comes to the business with 30 years of commercial experience in the aircraft leasing, aerospace and medical equipment sectors. Aashish spent eight years with GE Aircraft Engines in Cincinnati and Asia followed by 16 years at GECAS. His most recent role was Senior Vice President and Asia Pacific Regional Manager based in Singapore. Aashish will manage Nordic’s marketing team and activities across the new Asia Pacific/Middle East Region.
