@jonostrower As recently as late November, Allegiant was actively looking at the A220-300. Even whispers of a possible announcement in Dubai, but this is a big win for Boeing to convert an Airbus operator. Allegiant (said with affection) is a bottom feeder and will take the cheapest airplane.

@jonostrower At first glance, the purchase of 50 new-generation aircraft looks out of character for Allegiant Air. When we look closely at how the airline operates, there’s a very specific place for a fleet of brand new 737 Max aircraft.

@jonostrower From its failed JV with Boeing to its search for a strategic partner on its turboprop and now a spinoff of its eVTOL unit, Embraer’s future products are all being defined by a strategic aversion to going it alone.

@jonostrower The boom in SPACs pumped billions into eVTOL development, but the funding vehicle is no longer the cash machine it was.

@jonostrower Why Evansville, Indiana is the perfect example of a major shift taking place in global aviation.
