Founder of Shannon Aviation Museum Passes

One of the founding members of the Shannon Aviation Museum, Eddie Ryan has passed away aged 88. He passed away peacefully at Limerick University Hospital on Monday 26th April. His funeral took place on Friday 30th April and there was a flypast over the Shannon Aviation Museum in Shannon Town Centre by three Limerick flying Club Tecnam’s

Eddie was also a founding member of the Shannon Chamber and was its first acting CEO. Eddie’s association with aviation spanned a lifetime of over 70 years and it was fitting that he was awarded the Royal Aeronautical Society Distinguished Service Award for this lifetime of dedication to aviation and inspiring many young people. Eddie’s aviation career started with the Irish Air Corps over 70 years ago. May he Rest In Peace
