Limerick based, Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) has delivered another Embraer EMB-190 to new US start-up airline Breeze Airways. The aircraft, N115NB (c/n 19000115) was handed over and officially confirmed on 29th April. The aircraft was built in 2007 and operated for Air Canada until May 2020 and placed in storage at Tuscon. This is the fourth Embraer that Nordic Aviation Capital has placed with Breeze Airways. Breeze has still not confirmed or released any specific city pairs for its routes, only stating that flights will be focused on the Southeast and Northeast United States initially. In addition to the Embraer’s, Breeze Airways has placed an order for 80 Airbus A220 aircraft with deliveries expected to commence from October 2021.
In recent weeks, Nordic Aviation Capital announced the appointment of two additional Disinterested Directors to its Board as part of modifications to the board across the Group. Stefan Selig and Paul Keglevic joined the Board as of 29th March 2021. The appointment of additional disinterested directors throughout the Group will further enhance the current expertise and skillsets needed to ensure that the Company emerges as strong as possible from this period of market disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Commenting on the new appointments, Rod Sheridan, Chairman of Nordic Aviation Capital, said, “I am pleased to welcome Stefan and Paul to the Board of NAC and look forward to working closely with them both. I believe their financial and restructuring expertise will add the demonstrable ability to the NAC board as future challenges are addressed”.
