Tweet Picks:

@NewcastleFlyer The last ever EasyJet flight from the Newcastle base has now departed. EZY6445 is off to Faro this afternoon/evening and is operated by A320CEO G-EZOP. Today marks the end of 17 years of based operations at Newcastle for EasyJet.

@simonasbartkus .@wizzair now charges a 10EUR surcharge if you have @getadblock  turned on. Added right at the payment stage. This is not directly intentional – airline introduced the fee which is applicable to bookings made by automated systems. Adblock makes you “automated system”.

@SeanM1997 Airport slots are set to return to the “use it or lose it” rule in Winter 2020. This could lead to consolidation of flights at airports in the immediate future, but also would allow the likes of Wizz Air to grow if they can obtain slots.

@SeanM1997 Hours after Virgin Atlantic announce a new route between London Heathrow and Lahore (4x weekly flights from December 2020), British Airways apply for permission to fly the route.

@SeanM1997 Vueling have removed London Heathrow from its booking site, resulting in the end of the A Coruna – London Heathrow route. There had been a dispute between the local Spanish government and Vueling about flights on this route.
