New EL AL service from Tel Aviv to Dublin to start in 2020
Isreali national airline, EL AL, is to start a new service to Dublin from Tel Aviv from May 26th. The new service will operate three times a week on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. Initially, the service will be for the summer only but hopefully it will prove a success and will continue to be year round.
The new route announcement was made as part of a financial report for the airline and speaking to the media at the time, Ireland Israel Business Managing Director, Mattan Lass said, “The announcement of a direct flight between Dublin and Tel Aviv is a game changer for Israeli companies looking to access European markets following Brexit. It is also a huge help for Irish companies that want to benefit from Israel’s unique expertise in tech innovation. Ireland Israel Business has led the tech community’s campaign for a direct flight since 2012. We are delighted to see that our efforts have borne fruit.” During 2018, 11,300 Irish nationals visited Israel and there will be the possibility to connect onto the airlines new service to Tokyo. The route will also open the option for connecting passengers from Tel Aviv to use Dublin for pre-clearance for onward travel to the United States.
The route will be served by the airlines Boeing 737NG fleet in a two class cabin layout. Tickets for the new service can be purchased online from www.elal.com and will go on sale from 4th September.
